Fantastic Four: World's Greatest Comic Magazine #3-4: Ok, technically this comic was made in the early 00s to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Fantastic Four, but it fits in here chronologically, so let's go. The FF contact the X-Men in order to get the parts of 2 Sentinels from them for something. This turns out to be a bad idea, as Doom had tampered with them. They all fight the Sentinels in NYC (joined by Spidey and Dr. Strange) and win.
Fantastic Four 102-104: Turns out Magneto is still alive and found by Namor who nurses him back to health. Magneto uses his powers to convince Namor that the FF are attacking him, a war starts, Magneto kidnaps Sue Storm and Namor's gf/wife/ihavenoideahonestly to make them obey him. Namor and the FF team up and beat Magneto and capture him.
Marvel Team-Up #4: Spidey and the X-Men team up to deal with Morbius. Sort of. Spidey is having some reactions to having been attacked by Morbius and the X-Men basically have to save him by rescuing a scientist that Morbius had kidnapped. They do. Everyone lives. Minimal Morbing.
Amazing Spider-Man #92: Peter is harassing Gwen Stacy as Spider-Man to try to hide his identity, Iceman spots him and attacks him for harassing a girl (you know what, Bobby is in the right here, even if he doesn't know the whole situation). At the same time, the person running for the D.A. on a hardline lock'em up stance is threatening JJJ and Joe Robertson, who had uncovered he was an asshole attached to organized crime. Spidey and Iceman team up to stop Robertson from being killed by them, and Bullit (the D.A. Candidate) is ruined.
Incredible Hulk #150: Polaris is traveling to see Havok who has decided to live in the middle of nowhere away from everyone to try to convince him to rejoin the X-Men. Hulk sees her getting hassled by bikers and mistakes her for a green skinned beauty called Jarella that he had feelings for and saves her. Later Havok and Hulk end up fighting because he thinks that Havok is being mean to Lorna after they argue. Havok wins through some comic book BS. Rejoins the X-Men.
Avengers #103-104: The Avengers fight the Sentinels, led by Sentinel 2 one of the Sentinels who attacked the Sun. Their plan is to create a solar flare to sterilize all humans, preventing any further mutants from being born, then recreating humans from test tubes with no chance of further mutations. They beat the Sentinels by showing that Sentinel 2 was actually mutated, and the other Sentinels kill him then fall apart. Also, Larry Trask goes the way of his father, sacrificing himself to stop the Sentinels.
Ka-Zar #2-3, Marvel Tales #30: In this set of backup stories, Angel's father is murdered by his uncle, and Angel tries to bring him to justice, struggling with a desire to kill him. He ends up overcoming this urge, but also his uncle dies anyway, so shrug.
Avengers #110-111: Magneto escaped. He attacks the X-Men in their home then lures the Avengers out there as well. Lots of fighting and silliness later, the Avengers win and Magneto is captured again. Also there is a weird sidething about the uniform that Magneto made for Angel absorbing vital energy which is why Magneto is now wearing it to revitalize himself. Or something.
Incredible Hulk #172: The US government has captured Hulk, but he is going to break out of his cage. So a scientist uses his dimensional transport ray to try to send him away. Through a series of mistakes, it instead ends up with Juggernaut, restored to youth and apparently not dead for contrived reasons, and the Hulk both in the cage. They escape together. Then Juggy pisses of Hulk and Hulk beats him up and leaves after ripping off his helmet. The X-Men show up to psychic whammy the helmetless Juggernaut.
Captain America #172-175: Cap, on the run after being framed for murder, along with Falcon runs into Cyclops, Jean Grey, and Xavier. Turns out, they are all fighting the same enemy: The secret reclusive organization from the Amazing Adventures Beast run. The organization has been targeting mutants, the other X-Men are all missing, and are trying to secretly take over the US. Steve and Sam approach Beast's "girlfriend" and go undercover using the dumbest cover names...
...but are immediately found out by the organization. Xavier saves them by sending messages to Falcon, they all team up, and take down the Secret Empire, as well as rescue all the abducted mutants.
Marvel Team-Up #23: Human Torch and Iceman team up to battle a guy named Equinox who has the powers of both fire and ice. They beat him up and win.
Defenders #15-16: With all the X-Men on secret missions, Xavier approaches the Defenders to attempt to stop a new mutant threat. Turns out it is Magneto (who has escaped AGAIN), and his new Brotherhood (Mastermind, Unus, Blob, Lorelei). He captures the Defenders and reveals his new creation, Alpha, the Ultimate Mutant. He starts as powerful but kind of dumb as he is just born, but then he grows and grows in power and intelligence. At the UN, the Defenders confront them again and convince Alpha that Magneto is lying and using him and is actually Evil. Alpha realizes it is the truth, and he reverts Magneto and the Brotherhood all into babies. He erases all memory of the events from everyone but the Defenders and Xavier, then leaves the planet Earth cause he has evolved past one planet.
Marvel Team-Up #38: Spidey and Beast team up to fight Griffin (one of the Secret Empire characters that Beast had fought in his Amazing Adventures comics). At this point Beast has recently become an Avenger (and while technically X-Related, I'm not reading Avengers runs just because mutants are in them, if I did that I would just basically end up reading almost everything Marvel). They quip back and forth as they beat him down.
Giant-Size Fantastic Four #4: The Thing is trying to go back to the Baxter building with Alicia Masters when he encounters Madrox, a mutant in a funny suit who when hit with an impact, duplicates into more of him. His suit is also absorbing energy from everything. Turns out his mutant powers have expressed since birth, and his parents who were scientists moved to a rural farm to protect him and built the suit to contain his powers. It is malfunctioning, and he is a little nutty now. Xavier shows up to help cause he knew Madrox's parents and mind whammies him so Reed can fix the suit. Xavier takes Madrox in.
Avengers #110-111 re: Magneto using Angel's old costume just feels like the superhero version of stealing your boyfriend's sweater and not giving it back after you break up.
