Uncanny X-Men #122: Misty REALLY Should Have told Scott Jean Was Alive

This one isn't so much one story as it is a series of vignettes happening all at the same time.

The first follows Cyclops: Scott is running Colossus through a Danger Room session. Colossus is having some vague psych issues that are holding him back, and Scott is trying go figure out what's up. Wolverine damages the panels and puts himself in danger so that Colossus has no choice but to push himself to save him. Scott congratulates him, then tasks Wolvie with fixing things.

Scott then runs into Colleen who asks him out on a date. He agrees but has a few things left to do. Anyway, he runs over to the hangar where Banshee confirms that just like everything else, the Blackbird had been mothballed. They wonder where Xavier is.

So he goes on a date with Colleen, they have a good time, and on her way home at the train station, she gives Scott a gift and tells him not to open it until she is gone. He opens it after she leaves to find a key to her apartment and told to drop by whenever. (Seriously at this point, due to Claremont's bad memory, Misty has been turned into the worst friend and roommate humanly possible, as she even SEES them out on their date this issue).

Next up we have Xavier and Lilandra at Lilandra's coronation as Empress. Xavier seems to be a bit overwhelmed by all the people and the lavish celebrations.

Back in Scotland, Jean runs into Jason Wyngarde (Mastermind), who is again messing with her. She meets up with Moira, Alex, Lorna, and Jamie and head to Muir island. Also, apparently the guy who rented the boat that exploded to the X-Men waaaay back in issue 104 is sneaking on to the island to get revenge for his destroyed boat.

Back in NYC, Wolverine is dropping of Storm in Harlem where she was actually born (as her father was actually an American, rather than African, her mother is Kenyan. She lived here very briefly before moving to Cairo). The apartment she lived in as a baby is now filled with junkies. They attack her and catch her off guard, and in the end has to be bailed out by Power Man arriving.

On his way home Wolverine spots Mariko going into the Japanese embassy, so he runs out to go see her but is denied entry.

And to finish, we seen Juggernaut and Black Tom hiring the assassin Arcade to take care of the X-Men.

X-Tra Notes: This one is just hard to summarize cause there is no "and then they scuffled" thing to gloss over. Just a lot of stuff happens, and it is actually an interesting comic just due to it being more about developing the individual characters than being about something big happening. That said, there is one part I was kind of meh on. Storm should have wiped the floor with those people attacking her.
