Uncanny X-Men #66: We Just Got This Asshole Back, Can't Let Him Die Again

Xavier is down, and the X-Men need to figure out how to get him back before he dies. Using an experimental device Jean gets only one thing from Xavier's mind: The Hulk. There is also some scuffling during this point between Alex and Bobby over Lorna's affections, to which she tells them to knock it off and she doesn't belong to no one, good for her. The two guys agree now is not the time and move on.

Anyway the X-Men go to find the Hulk, they get him turned back to Banner, who tells them he had something he had worked on with Xavier in a lab that could help, but then the military attacks and turns him back into the Hulk. They chase him down, and it turns out that Banner was subconsciously directing Hulk to reveal the lab to them. They find the lab after a bit more fighting, and then get the device run home, and save Xavier.

X-tra Notes: This is the last comic before the multi-year hiatus in which the main X-Men comic became a reprint comic, and the end of the original team, other than some cameo appearances spaced out between 1970-75, until the 80s when X-Factor is formed. When the X-Men come back in force, there will be a new team.
